This is a project about photography and what it has to with globalization. There are many different types of photography that tell stories of all kinds. Though some of the most important types when try to acknowledge that something is happening or to show others what is happening people either with the use of photojournalism, or the use of documentary photography. There many famous figure heads in the world of photography, like Dorthea Lange who is known for her documentary photography during the great depression. I also want to cover how the lasting effects, and impression of photography and how it is able to touch people. As well as  it’s continuing effects on the world and how other are able to see globalization through lens they never thought of before.

I choose this topic to study because photography is something that I deal with on a day to day basis. Also I see photojournalism in the news or on the internet covering important events. When I see photographs and documentaries shown in the news I question how this picture effects people and the way that they think. Also how can this picture make people want to do that same and question how they could go about it. And lastly I wonder if people are greatly affected by a powerful photo and it moves the viewer to do something about it. I believe the shock value in photography helps to get things done, because there is always a film over what people can see if they aren’t there or if there are no photographs.

Just an idea of photojournalism's effect on the world
