ABOUT US

I am a senior at science leadership academy. This quarter we were asked to create a project for our globalization class about the economic status of a country as well as their progress for the MDG goals that should be completed by the next two years. The place that I decided to research is nepal because I had previously learned about them for a different project. They have a high rate of sex trafficking and they aren't very caught up on modern technology.

Nepal isn't a country that is very well off compared to others. Since their whole economy is practically glued to India in which they trade frequently, also their currency is the same which are rupees. They 2.8 Million people, they are partly free, the unemployment is at 46%.

Nepal does not have a trending arrow which means that they are on a standstill while neither going up or down.

Nepal Greatest strengths are their Import and exports which are

Clothing, Carpets,Leather, Jute, Pulses and Grain. They Import Women, Oil, Petroleum and Jelly.

Nepal Greatest weakness is their close connection to India

Nepal is so close to India that they even share the same currency. They also battle with a weak government as well as political instability, which will be hard to perfect unless someone comes along to solve this problem. This isn't good because they are entirely dependent of India so if India is in bad shape Nepal will suffer.

Probability of Success is Very High

Even though they don't have a trending arrow, The progress that is happening now is for the better of Nepal, So I imagine that in the very near future they will have an upward trending arrow.
